Last month, UNITE-LA President Alysia Bell had the opportunity to meet Gov. Newsom alongside other state, L.A. County, L.A. City and business leaders to thank him for his investment in regional collaboration, including California Jobs First and K-16 Collaboratives.

That day also brought the Governor’s announcement of a statewide plan for economic growth—$245 million for more jobs—and additional investments to support L.A.’s wildfire recovery. The Governor’s office released what leaders in the Los Angeles community are saying, including Alysia’s comment: “Gov.
