
Director, L.A. Region K-16 Collaborative
[email protected]Antonio Ramirez brings more than a decade of experience in higher education, workforce development, student services and organizational leadership to UNITE-LA. In his role as director of the L.A. Region K-16 Collaborative, Ramirez oversees regional strategy, guides subregional implementation and ensures accountability across partners.
He previously served as an assistant director, Guided Pathways, with the Foundation for California Community Colleges, where he partnered with colleges, educational leaders and workforce organizations throughout California to advance student success, equity, career pathways and institutional effectiveness initiatives. Antonio also served as a tenured counselor and faculty leader at Allan Hancock College, where he provided academic, career and transfer counseling while leading several student success and Guided Pathways initiatives. Throughout his career, he has been committed to building collaborative partnerships, supporting professional development and creating systems that improve outcomes for diverse communities.
Ramirez has completed his doctorate in Educational Leadership at San Diego State University, with an emphasis in Community College Leadership. He holds a Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance with a concentration in Student Affairs and Higher Education from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Multicultural Counseling, also from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
As a first-generation college graduate, Ramirez is passionate about expanding educational and career opportunities and fostering environments where individuals can thrive.
