In December of 2020, Ascendium Education Group, based in Madison, Wisconsin, awarded UNITE-LA funds to validate UNITE-LA/WestEd research regarding California's Associate Degree for Transfer. Ascendium's investment in UNITE-LA's work will go to support a community of practice under the L.A. Compact’s Student Success Workgroup, made up of two-year and four-year public postsecondary institutions dedicated to improving Associate Degree for Transfer pathways. Ascendium is committed to supporting postsecondary learners nationwide in earning degrees and credentials that will broadly strengthen opportunities for greater upward economic and social mobility.
