Manager, Public Policy

 

Position

The Public Policy Manager will report to the Vice President of Policy and Public Affairs and will support the development of cradle-to-career education policy projects that aim to strengthen opportunities for our most vulnerable students and families. The Manager will work on all systems of government, local, state and federal and will work with an expert team that will provide guidance and valuable professional development.

The Public Policy Manager will support the early care and education, K-12 and immigration portfolio and will work to strengthen UNITE-LA’s network of advocacy and business allies to ensure a sustained cradle-to-career business voice in CA. Manager will focus on developing/strengthening communication channels to activate the business community and increase UNITE-LA’s reputation as an intermediary bringing together business, traditional advocates and public sector leaders.

The Public Policy Manager position is a full-time, exempt salary position with full benefits including paid sick leave, vacation, 401(k) participation, health, vision and dental.

Administrative Assistant, Tech Pathways

 

Position

Administrative Assistant, Tech Pathways is a part of UNITE-LA’s joint venture with LA-Tech.org and reports to Manager, Tech Pathways. This position will be primarily focused on assisting in coordination of all student facing Tech Pathways programming, including virtual and in person work based learning opportunities, our student ambassador program and internship/work placements. The ideal candidate enjoys working with students and is passionate about assisting their community. It is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position with full benefits, including paid sick leave, vacation, 401(k) participation, health, vision and dental.
