Position:

Reporting to UNITE-LA’s Director of Digital Equity, the Manager of LA DEAL is passionate about meaningfully engaging cross sector stakeholders in Los Angeles and California to address the digital divide. The Manager will help support the development of relationships with targeted leaders from business, education, government, community-based organizations, and other key stakeholders in Los Angeles and more broadly in California to identify opportunities to advance digital equity. Additionally, the Manager will help activate and connect key stakeholders to engage in policy/advocacy, programming and systems change efforts.

Position Overview:

The Senior Manager, Talent Development and Employer Engagement - Tech will directly support the organization’s mission to drive more equitable and inclusive employment outcomes for opportunity adults in the tech industry, with a focus on placing OYA in living wage, sustainable jobs in green and blue career pathways. The position will work to cultivate and grow relationships with existing and new employers and professional business organizations in the tech industry. The position will work directly with employers to support their talent development needs, including developing internship programs, apprenticeships, entry level and living wage jobs that lead to high mobility careers in the tech industry.

The position will work to cultivate and grow relationships with existing and new employers and professional business organizations in the cleantech industry. The position will also work directly with employers to support their talent development needs, including developing internship programs, apprenticeships, entry level and living wage jobs that lead to high mobility careers in the cleantech industry for our OYA.

UNITE-LA is hiring three Case Managers, one each in the following sectors: Cleantech, Health Care, and Tech. Please read the details carefully of this job description, as well as application details below.

The Cleantech Case Manager will work closely with UNITE-LA’s Programs Team and Career Specialists. The Case Manager will support participants with their enrollment and matriculation through the LA Regional Cleantech Career Academy and related workforce programming, including enrollment, onboarding, completion and placements into early work experience, including internships and jobs. The LA Regional Cleantech Career Academy offers 18-24 year olds paid work-based learning and mentorship with local business leaders in the cleantech industry.

The Health Care Case Manager will work closely with UNITE-LA’s Programs Team and Career Specialists. The Case Manager will support participants with their enrollment and matriculation through UNITE-LA’s My Pathway to Health program and related workforce programming, including enrollment, onboarding, completion and placements into early work experience, including internships and jobs. My Pathway to Health is a paid, 3-part program connecting 18-24 year olds to pathways to careers in allied health and supporting them through career exploration, training, and job placement.

The Tech Case Manager will work closely with UNITE-LA’s Programs Team and Career Specialists. The Case Manager will support participants with their enrollment and matriculation through UNITE-LA's Step into Tech program and related workforce programming, including enrollment, onboarding, completion and placements into early work experience, including internships and jobs. Step into Tech is a paid opportunity, providing pathways for justice involved/impacted individuals, ages 18-35 into careers in technology.
