Manager, Smart Justice

 

Position

The Manager, Smart Justice is an L.A.-based part of UNITE-LA's bicoastal team in formal (MOU) partnership with the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Foundation and reports to UNITE-LA's Senior Manager of Education Business Coalitions. This position will serve as the project manager for our national portfolio of philanthropically-funded Smart Justice work – leading the growth of the program and the execution of and reporting on all grant deliverables. The ideal candidate enjoys leading projects, building relationships, is highly organized and deadline-driven, has excellent written and verbal communication, and demonstrates a strong commitment to Smart Justice reforms as a key to economic and talent development. It is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position with full benefits, including paid sick leave, vacation, 401(k) participation, health, vision and dental.

Manager, Workforce Development

 

Position

Reporting to the Senior Director of Workforce Development, the Manager will support and advance UNITE-LA's systems change efforts to build a skilled workforce aligned to regional employer demand for talent and inclusive and representative of local, diverse communities. To advance our goals, UNITE-LA works closely with partners across business, education, government, community-based organizations, philanthropy and other stakeholders who are committed to developing an inclusive and equitable economy through workforce development. The position will primarily support convening of our partners around systems change efforts as well as manage related special projects and policy advocacy efforts. As a member of the UNITE-LA Workforce Development department, the Manager may be called upon to connect with programmatic initiatives as relevant to shared goals.

Intern, Research & Evaluation

 

Position

The Research and Evaluation Intern will report to the Vice President of Research and Evaluation of UNITE-LA. This position requires collaboration with other staff of UNITE-LA.

The Research and Evaluation (R&E) Intern will support the Vice President of R&E with respect to research on, and evaluation of, education and workforce development issues, programs, and policies; convening support for R&E meetings with partners; and administrative work in support of R&E. This position is a temporary, non-exempt, hourly, part-time position (20 hours per week) that is scheduled to last through September 2021, with possibility of extension and becoming full-time.

Manager, Postsecondary Initiatives

 

Position 

The Manager for Postsecondary Initiatives will provide staffing support to the IHE Collaborative and its related projects, with an emphasis on postsecondary access. This position will primarily support the convening of local educational, business and civic leaders dedicated to strong K-12 to postsecondary pathways for traditional, nontraditional and special populations of students, including foster or formerly foster youth. This will include the L.A. Compact's Postsecondary Matriculation workgroup and involvement in partnerships like the L.A. College Promise. The manager will also connect our higher education systems change efforts with UNITE-LA's higher education programming efforts, such as L.A. Cash for College.

Accounting Coordinator

 

Position
