We wish all the students a successful 2016-2017 school year!

UNITE-LA President David Rattray joined Los Angeles Unified School District's Superintendent Michelle King, L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Education, James Cole Jr., School Board President Steve Zimmer, other school representatives and students Tuesday morning to kick off the start of the 2016-2017 school year. 

UNITE-LA continues to be instrumental in collaborating with education leaders on programs that prepare youth from cradle to career, ensuring a productive, future workforce, including Cash for College, which was acknowledged by the Mayor.  King and Garcetti stressed the importance of collaboration as a key component to increasing graduation rates.  As well, Superintendent King thanked the L.A. Area Chamber business community for their support.
