The past few months have brought some challenging developments in immigration policy that have put additional pressure on communities working to create a safe, inclusive environment for immigrants and their families.

With Los Angeles being home to 3.5 million immigrants, the Chamber understands how inextricably immigrants are tied to this country's social fabric and economic success. With unemployment at historic lows, and immigrants adding billions of dollars to our gross domestic product and tax revenue, we need immigration policies that pave the way toward citizenship, encourage diversity in minds and talent, and ensure businesses have the workforce to compete in a 21st century global economy.

Please consider joining us for a panel discussion on how we can collectively work towards creating and sustaining immigrant-friendly policies. Our guests will include: Congressman Jimmy Gomez, Rigo Reyes, executive director of the Los Angeles County Office of Immigrant Affairs, and Dr. Linda Lopez, chief of the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs for the City of Los Angeles.
