As part of UNITE-LA's regional Student-Centered Transfer Redesign work, CSU Dominguez Hills empowered transfer students to lead campus change by launching S.T.A.R.S. (Supporting Transfer and Returning Students), a student-led organization that elevates transfer student voice and peer support.

Informed by the redesign process, students now collaborate directly with faculty and administrators to align campus resources, improve communication and address real-time barriers to the transfer experience. The effort has already generated new student-led activities and mentorship opportunities, strengthening shared responsibility for transfer student success and well-being.
