In August, members of UNITE-LA participated in the Conrad N. Hilton’s Opportunity Youth Initiative Mexico City Convening.

The event focused on the sharing of best practices on how to best support opportunity youth and brought grantees from across the world, such as Mombasa (Kenya), Mexico City, New Orleans and Los Angeles. Panel topics of the event included sharing holistic approaches across geographies to supporting young people about their well-being, framing communications around opportunity youth that builds understanding and demand for change and programmatic highlights from other grantees that work to transform education and workforce systems.
