Geraldine Contreras-Jaimerena is an Associate Director, Career Pathways and Talent Development, leading and managing the L.A. Youth at Work initiative where she focuses on job preparedness, career preparedness and career awareness for youth, ages 14 to 24, in the Los Angeles area. She also supports the STEAM and health care pathway partnerships, which seeks to improve youth’s STEAM education and access in the Los Angeles region.

Previously, Contreras-Jaimerena served as Director of Student Affairs at ALPFA, a non-profit association dedicated to enhancing professional development opportunities for Latino college students and professionals pursuing careers in business fields. She has also worked with the California State Assembly and the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Board of Education.

Contreras-Jaimerena received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations as well as her master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. Outside of work, Contreras-Jaimerena enjoys spending time with her two daughters traveling, learning about new cultures and advocating for women empowerment and voting rights.
