Do you remember your first job or internship? Thanks to our partnership with Kaiser Permanente, many youth will have a summer to remember as they virtually explore the field of medicine.
UNITE-LA is excited to continue our summer youth employment partnership with Kaiser. In addition to referring a talent pipeline of 106 youth who are work-ready certified for virtual health care internships at Kaiser, our team is partnering with 15 Kaiser summer youth employment sites (including Baldwin Park, Los Angeles, Pasadena and Watts) to provide youth with WorkforceReady training to sharpen their essential skills. Through this partnership, more than 400 youth will explore the real world of the medical field through summer work experiences with one of California’s leading health care employers.
Headquartered locally in Pasadena, Kaiser Permanente is one of the nation's largest not-for-profit health plans, serving 12.4 million members. The facts of the matter are Kaiser continues to lead in Southern California, and they are committed to cultivating a local talent pipeline to meet their growing workforce needs.
