Youth at Work joined Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, other elected officials, business and community leaders and youth to celebrate the launch of the HIRE LA's Youth summer jobs and internship program. Each year, L.A. Youth at Work partners with the City and Mayor's Office to meet the goal of employing 20,000 L.A. youth by 2020. HIRE LA's Youth empowers students with the tools to obtain and retain meaningful employment, and provides students the opportunity to certify themselves as "work-ready" to employers.

"I am pursuing a career in technology, and it is programs like Bixel Exchange that have helped me bridge into that career," said Daisy Zurita, an L.A. Tech Talent Pipeline student who earned an internship with the City of Los Angeles' data team.
