Senior Manager, College Access
213.325.1532 | [email protected]As the Senior Manager of College Access, Matthew Moor oversees day-to-day program coordination and management of financial aid awareness and completion workshops with regional partners and stakeholders and develops and deepens partnerships to support a coordinated regional strategy for L.A. Cash for College to increase college accessibility and enrollment.
Originally from the San Fernando Valley, Moor graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Sociology and a minor in Education Studies. Moor later earned his Master of Arts degree in Education with a concentration in Equity and Social Justice at San Francisco State University.
His passion for improving college enrollment and completion for first-generation college students, like himself, began during his time as a College Summit Peer Leader in high school. Upon entering UCSD, he was selected to participate in the Office of Academic Support and Instructional Service’s (OASIS) Summer Bridge Program. This transformational program led him to later hold various college access roles where he supported first-generation students with navigating the financial aid process, writing personal statements and student advocacy.
For fun, Moor enjoys napping with his cat, Fern, and teaching his puppy, Artie, new tricks.
