Systems Change Spotlight: Report Puts Cost of Youth Workforce Programs at Forefront

The L.A. Opportunity Youth Collaborative (L.A. OYC), in partnership with the Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF), is thrilled to announce the launch of a much-anticipated report, Uncovering the Full Cost of L.A. Youth Workforce Development Programs. Over the past year, we've worked diligently to assess the comprehensive needs of youth workforce programs in Los Angeles.

Last month, we celebrated this milestone with a live YouTube release hosted by NFF. We showcased a powerful video featuring voices from workforce program staff and young people, officially launching the full report. The video includes insights from UNITE-LA’s Senior Vice President of Systems Change Strategy, Carrie Lemmon, and front-line workforce program staff at UCLA, CRCD and Para Los Niños.

This report is part of a broader national conversation about the urgent need for sustainable youth workforce development programs. These efforts are crucial for sustaining local economies and equipping our youth with the skills, resources and support they need to build meaningful careers and connections.

We invite you to dive into the full report and join us in this important conversation. Check out the full report here.
