Sana Rahim, Database and Operations Manager, spearheads adoption of UNITE-LA’s digital platforms, including Salesforce and Asana, to drive strategic decision-making and improve effectiveness and efficiency of project management.

Previously, Rahim worked as a student teacher at an elementary school in South San Diego, sharing her passion for city planning with youth to create inquiry-based learning experiences where students could explore equity through urban design. Rahim’s participation in career development programs, such as Technovation, Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, Braven Accelerator and Bay Area Housing Internship Program (BAHIP) led her to hold great conviction in systemic organizational support as a pivotal resource for social mobility and change.

Rahim earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from San Jose State University and minored in Urban Studies and Cultural Anthropology. During her undergraduate studies, she gained experience in affordable housing development and ethnographic research while conducting a study on San Jose’s tiny home movement. Rahim is a current graduate student at University of California, San Diego's Master of Education Program.

Rahim is a first-generation Afghan American and outside of work, you can find her signing up for a ballroom dancing class, indoor rock climbing or cuddling with her cat, Pookie.
