UNITE-LA connected with the next generation of talent at the NBA All-Star Tech Slam, where staff engaged nearly 100 high school students through small-group sessions focused on career exploration.
Students showed strong interest in technology and health care pathways, asking thoughtful questions and seeking ways to get a head start after graduation. Through these conversations, UNITE-LA shared information about its workforce programs and paid work-based learning opportunities, helping students take the first steps toward their future careers.
The event also created opportunities to strengthen partnerships and expand awareness of UNITE-LA’s work, reinforcing its commitment to connecting young people to high-growth career pathways.
