UNITE-LA Today: Advancing Career Pathways in Sustainability

Last month, UNITE-LA’s LA Regional Cleantech Career Academy celebrated the graduation of 59 of 64 students, marking a 92 percent completion rate for the Spring 2026 cohort.

Students marked their achievement during a site visit to Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), offering a hands-on look at sustainability and innovation in action. The experience began at the Flight Path Museum and Learning Center, where students explored aviation history, followed by a behind-the-scenes tour of Los Angeles International Airport. Students learned how clean technologies are being integrated into daily airport operations and how sustainability is shaping the future of aviation. A huge thank you to the leaders and team members at Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) for helping make our Spring 2026 LA Regional Cleantech Career Academy culminating site visit such a memorable experience!

Congratulations to the Spring 2026 cohort on completing the program. We are proud of their accomplishments and grateful to our partners who help connect students to hands-on learning experiences and real-world career pathways in sustainability, innovation and aviation. We look forward to seeing how they continue to build on this experience and apply their learning moving forward.
