UNITE-LA Today: Building Towards L.A.’s Future

Last month, UNITE-LA’s former Board Chair and member, Denita Willoughby, CEO of Big Energy Group and a UNITE-LA executive consultant, along with her husband, Anthony Willoughby, hosted a private reception with local Black leaders in support of L.A. Mayor Karen Bass.

The event served as a meaningful moment to recognize UNITE-LA’s longstanding partnership with the City of Los Angeles and to express gratitude to the mayor and her team. UNITE-LA's Bridget Netter, senior vice president, Programs and Talent Development, and Pam Williams, a UNITE-LA consultant supporting the LA Regional Cleantech Career Academy, highlighted the mayor’s support for the Cleantech Academy and her commitment to advancing its mission, particularly through our collaboration with Deputy Mayor of Infrastructure, Randall Winston. Additionally, we acknowledged UNITE-LA’s active role in supporting the City’s Year 26 Plan and the mayor’s Five-Year Strategic Plan.
