The Quality Start Los Angeles Dual Language Learner (DLL) Initiative is excited to re-launch its campaign “Two Languages, Twice the Opportunities,” this year, with lots of new additions!
To support young children in their multilingual journey, the campaign has developed a short video, just for kids, and will have an accompanying collateral piece to be mailed to child care providers and others in L.A. County. Additionally, there will be a booth at the L.A. Times Festival of Books, April 26-27, which will include several bilingual author readings in Spanish, Chinese and Huasteca Nahuatl. This campaign helps nurture multilingualism in L.A. County's young children by connecting with families and educators to create an environment where multilingual children feel safe and valued. It is supported by UNITE-LA and partners, First 5 LA, the Los Angeles County Office of Education, Early Edge and the Child Care Alliance of L.A. For DLL resources, click here.
