Last month, UNITE-LA’s Postsecondary Systems Team cohosted a celebration of financial aid completion efforts in L.A. County with LACOE, the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools (PLAS) and Ed Trust-West.

The celebration comes after more than a year of our team working with LAUSD and LACOE to mobilize school districts and schools around the statewide financial aid application completion requirement. This idea came from discussions with our partners at PLAS who have been working to compile data and resources, including UNITE-LA research, for districts working to improve rates of completion. This represents great momentum in partnering with local CBOs and districts, but also in advancing our goals around college access and financial aid form completion. Thank you to all who participated!
