The L.A. Opportunity Youth Collaborative (OYC), convened by UNITE-LA and the Alliance for Children's Rights, held discussions and brainstorming sessions last month with Hire LA and YouthSource contractors this March to coalesce around recommendations to City and County of Los Angeles workforce leaders. The OYC was then able to organize and elicit sign-on from six Hire LA contractors on a letter that provided community-based recommendations for future program redesign efforts, and the EWDD FY 22 Annual Plan. The letter was sent to the City of L.A. Economic and Workforce Development Department and the Youth Council. We will be sure to keep you posted on these efforts that benefit L.A.'s opportunity youth.
