UNITE-LA wants to take a moment to extend a very warm welcome and congratulations to Dr. Alberto J. Román for being appointed as the Los Angeles Community College District’s (LACCD) Chancellor, following a formal vote at LACCD’s Board meeting on May 7, 2025.

Dr. Román has served as LACCD’s Interim Chancellor since November 2024. UNITE-LA is also incredibly honored to have Dr. Román as one of our Board members. Read more about his appointment here!
