UNITE-LA recently joined LACI’s Road to 2028 Summit at Intuit Dome, showcasing the Los Angeles Regional Cleantech Career Academy at the Green Jobs Regional Partnership’s Training Talent Marketplace. The event brought together employers, industry leaders and workforce partners to explore how we can build the talent pipelines needed to support Los Angeles’ growing clean energy and transportation sectors.

Through the Academy, UNITE-LA is preparing job-ready talent for careers in clean energy, transportation and other high-growth industries while creating opportunities for businesses to engage with participants through work-based learning experiences and talent pipeline development. These partnerships help ensure training programs remain aligned with evolving industry needs.

The Summit also highlighted the broader momentum behind Los Angeles’ clean economy. Mayor Karen Bass shared updates on the City’s Climate Action Plan, including efforts to reduce emissions, strengthen climate resilience and expand equitable access to green jobs. As Los Angeles prepares for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, partnerships across business, workforce development and government will be critical to building an inclusive cleantech workforce and a strong regional talent pipeline.
