Last month, UNITE-LA joined California Volunteers aboard the Queen Mary for their Corps to Career Fair where we celebrated alumni journeys (six who were placed into career pathways by UNITE-LA) and inspired future service members.

During this event, UNITE-LA President Alysia Bell joined Josh Fryday, chief service officer on Gov. Gavin Newsom’s cabinet, and Rex Richardson, Long Beach mayor. Additionally, California Service Corps alumni, including UNITE-LA Step into Tech alum, Rene Menchaca, shared powerful remarks about their experiences in the California Service Corps.
