On Oct. 21, UNITE-LA celebrated the completion of our 10th Step into Tech cohort — a season of incredible growth and achievement! Twenty-two participants successfully completed part one, with 19 advancing to part two to pursue certifications in networking, cybersecurity or data science.

This cohort also welcomed our partners from the State of California Employment Development Department (EDD) for a virtual site visit — a special opportunity to connect with the team that helps make Step into Tech possible. From EDD, we were joined by Katherine Ortega, Daniel Pulido and Zekarias Tabor, whose partnership and funding allow UNITE-LA to continue offering Step into Tech as a paid training program that helps participants explore, train and launch tech careers.

We also celebrated two Emerging Leaders—program alumni who gave back as mentors and leaders. Huge thanks to our 32 volunteers, nine partners and the Step into Tech team — Ilia, Luis and Tanaya — for making this cohort such a success!
