Last month, UNITE-LA had the opportunity to provide remarks at the Santa Monica Chamber’s Government Affairs Council meeting to share an overview of digital equity issues, raising awareness around pricing discrimination and encouraging members to weigh in on usage of priority maps to determine Last Mile Federal Funding eligibility.
Representatives from the offices of Sen. Allen and Assemblymember Zbur were in attendance. The Chamber confirmed Santa Monica neighborhoods and Santa Monica Community College students are directly impacted and will continue to monitor the issues.
