UNITE-LA's Director of Digital Equity, Liliana Aide Monge, alongside our LA DEAL partner, Joel Martin from the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation, hosted an LA DEAL California Advanced Services Fund (CASF) Infrastructure Grant Account webinar for L.A. County that featured three members of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), including Program Supervisor Louise Fischer.

The event was well attended by members of L.A. County cities, Councils of Governments and internet service providers. This grant opportunity has the potential to bring millions of dollars into L.A. County to help develop new, high-speed internet networks to underserved areas in L.A. County at highly affordable monthly rates, making the economic vibrancy of our region more robust and equitable. The CPUC team confirmed more than $60 million will be available for awards from projects submitted on Oct. 31, 2025.
