Last month, UNITE-LA participated in a statewide focus group hosted by the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC), as part of a research project funded by the Gates and Tipping Point Foundations.
The discussion brought together representatives from community colleges and workforce development organizations to explore how to better connect, support and place individuals in health care careers that require some postsecondary training but less than a bachelor’s degree. Their insights will help inform a forthcoming report aimed at state and local policymakers, workforce leaders and training providers.
