UNITE-LA Today: Health Sector Collaborative Meeting

In early April, UNITE-LA hosted its first Health Sector Collaborative (HSC) meeting of 2025, bringing together 26 attendees from 19 partnering health care organizations.

The meeting focused on identifying and addressing barriers to youth access and participation in non-degree health care programs. Carrie Lemmon, UNITE-LA's senior vice president of Systems Change Strategy, led a presentation on recent findings, followed by Amber Chatman, UNITE-LA's director of Workforce Systems & Policy, who facilitated a discussion inviting partners to share feedback and explore opportunities for collaboration between employers and training providers. This discussion laid the groundwork for strategic efforts to enhance program accessibility and workforce readiness, advancing the HSC’s 2025 goal.
