The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce (HCC) extended an invitation to UNITE-LA to join them and a handful of board members for a high-level fly-in to Sacramento to lobby on HCC’s legislative agenda.
UNITE-LA appreciated the opportunity to join HCC for these focused, substantive meetings with elected officials and their staffs, which took place May 13-14. UNITE-LA’s Senior Vice President of Education Policy and Public Affairs, Sonia Campos-Rivera, traveled to Sacramento as part of the delegation and elevated the need to protect crucial education funding, which is in danger of being cut.
