UNITE-LA published our new Business Perspectives on Immigrant Talent and Economic Growth research report.

The report underscores business organizations’ widely held positive views of immigrants’ role in the economy, as well as employers’ understanding of the benefits and challenges of hiring immigrant workers. Findings, based on our two 2024 statewide surveys, point to the importance of technical assistance to California’s business organizations to expand their engagement, and California employers to support their understanding of different legal statuses and visa types. Why This Matters Now:
A combination of increased ICE activity, rebuilding efforts following the January 2025 wildfires, and the opportunity to successfully host upcoming global sporting events make it more urgent than ever to stabilize and support L.A.’s essential workforce. We cannot afford to sideline the very talent that keeps many of our key industries running.
