UNITE-LA partnered with the Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA) to co-host a timely session in their VICA University series, supporting employers navigating new compliance requirements under SB 294, the Workplace Know Your Rights Act.

Yunuen Trujillo, director of the Workers’ Rights and Labor Legal Services Department at Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), led the session, sharing key updates and practical guidance on employer responsibilities. Topics included new notice and training requirements, procedures related to immigration-based retaliation and how to respond to inspections and interactions with law enforcement.
