On Tuesday, Dec. 9, UNITE-LA's Kelly Reynolds and Adam Gottlieb traveled to Sacramento to host a briefing for legislative staffers on the K-16 Collaborative Grant Program in partnership with Capitol Impact.

The goal of the briefing was to introduce legislative staff who serve on relevant education and budget committees to the K-16 Collaborative and share the goals of the program and some of the work and successes across the regions so far. Staff from legislative offices across the state attended the briefing, which also featured the collaboratives in Sacramento and the Central Coast. UNITE-LA will continue to raise awareness of the K-16 Collaborative’s great work while elevating conversations around long-term budget sustainability in the years ahead.
