In late August, UNITE-LA co-hosted the Southern California Apprenticeship Network (SCAN) mixer alongside Jail Guitar Doors and The C.A.P.O. Center.

The event brought together more than 40 key players in the apprenticeship ecosystem—including employers, educators, apprenticeship professionals and state representatives—to explore partnerships, foster collaboration and strengthen apprenticeship programs across the region. The evening featured meaningful conversations on expanding access to apprenticeships in music, media and film for justice-involved and justice-impacted individuals, as well as opportunities for cross-sector collaboration to advance equity in workforce development. Guests also enjoyed inspiring performances by apprentices and staff, including Kenzo Sohue, Zach Deluca, Sean Roston, Jason Heath, Jason Federici, William Woodcock and Jonathan Hischkie.
