As a result of UNITE-LA’s participation and influence on the NAWBO-LA Advocacy Committee, UNITE-LA is pleased to share that they have adopted two of our priorities that we proposed this year: 

• High Speed Internet - advocate for equitable access to affordable, reliable and high-speed internet service, and the devices and training to optimize their use within underserved business communities.
• Paid Family Leave - monitor implementation and support financial investments supporting small business owners offering Paid Family Leave services to employees, including increased wage replacement.
