UNITE-LA Today: Partnerships with New Business Organizations

We are pleased to share that UNITE-LA has activated partnerships with new business organizations: the Los Angeles Business Council and the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The Los Angeles Business Council, led by President Mary Leslie, has a strong public policy arm and strives to promote progress in the Los Angeles region in the areas of energy, housing, transportation and economic development. They represent 500+ members, both business and civic leaders, from all industry sectors who are focused on innovative public policy that strengthens our economy while improving quality of life for all of us. They work in tandem with their research arm, the LABC Institute, to achieve these goals.

The Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce, led by CEO Nancy Hoffman Vanyek, is the largest chamber in the San Fernando Valley and the 20th largest chamber in Los Angeles County. The Chamber plays an active role in public policy and has a long history of successfully working with state legislators, which they attributed to significant coalition building among business organizations throughout the state.
