On June 30, the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) announced winners of the EnergyTech University Prize (EnergyTech UP) 2025 National Pitch event at Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. Finalists, who came from multidisciplinary teams of postsecondary students from universities across the U.S., pitched their innovative business plans to bring a high-potential energy technology to market. Finalist teams competed for the top three national spots and bonus prizes. Felix Peng, a fall 2024 LA Regional Cleantech Career Academy graduate and current Harvey Mudd College student (class of 2028), and his team won a $20,000 bonus prize!
