It is not lost on us, as UNITE-LA approaches 20 years of helping students complete financial aid applications through our L.A. Cash for College work, that it truly takes a village to do so. There are so many partners, schools, counselors, volunteers and all-around amazing human beings who help spread the word about college financial aid and who assist students and their families in filling out those complicated forms. Of course, doing so during a pandemic raises the level of complication! We took a moment to speak to a few individuals about this experience, and, while the complications grew because of a pandemic, our motivation to see high school students and youth pursue their college dream was bigger than any complication.
