The Policy Team supported the Regional Economic Association Leaders of California (R.E.A.L.) Education & Workforce Development Committee meeting in March.

UNITE-LA’s Sonia Campos-Rivera, senior vice president, Education Policy and Public Affairs, led the discussion around the committee’s potential support of a high number of EDWD bills, including UNITE-LA sponsored SAP Bill AB789 (Berman). The session also featured a segment focused on skills-based hiring to build an equitable workforce with Henry Bartholomay, senior manager, Partner Relationships, for Opportunity@Work, and Pallavi Verma, senior managing director of Quality and Risk for North America for Accenture.
