UNITE-LA was honored to partner with the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) and Small Business Majority to co-host a timely webinar supporting employers and business leaders as they navigate new compliance requirements under SB 294, the Workplace Know Your Rights Act. The strong participation and engagement reflected a shared commitment across the business community to stay informed and prepared.
The session delivered practical, employer-centered guidance on SB 294, including new notice, training and procedural obligations related to immigration-based retaliation, inspection notifications and interactions with law enforcement. With the first required written notice due by Feb. 1, the discussion focused on helping employers meet compliance expectations while supporting workforce stability and minimizing disruption. To further support employers, a comprehensive toolkit with clear resources and actionable tools is available here. We are grateful to our partners and participants for their collaboration and look forward to continuing to provide timely, business-relevant resources that help employers protect their workforce and operate with confidence.
