UNITE-LA Today: Showcasing Regional Solutions for Workforce Success

Last month, UNITE-LA President Alysia Bell joined leaders at the CalMatters Ideas Festival to discuss California's changing workforce and what it will take to create opportunity for the next generation.

During the conversation, Bell highlighted UNITE-LA's LA Regional Cleantech Career Academy (Academy) as an example of how strong partnerships can connect young people to meaningful career pathways in high-growth industries. The Academy brings together employers, educational institutions, public agencies and community organizations to align talent development with workforce demand.

The discussion reinforced a key message: workforce solutions are most effective when sectors work together. As California looks to prepare workers for the jobs of the future, collaborative approaches that connect education, workforce development and industry needs will be essential to creating equitable pathways to economic opportunity.

UNITE-LA is proud to help lead this work and demonstrate how regional partnerships can drive lasting impact for students, workers and employers alike.
