The National Strategic Partnerships (NSP) team, working with their partners at the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE), recently graduated their seventh cohort of chamber professionals in skills-based hiring practices.

Since 2023, the team has been training certified activators to coach local employers on skills-based practices, from how to develop job descriptions all the way through employee development, retention and promotion. Skills-based hiring is a talent strategy where companies identify skills and workers who have built capabilities through experience, not just degrees.
