In May, UNITE-LA's L.A. Cash for College program presented, "Dollars for Scholars," a virtual, scholarship awards celebration, where we awarded $30,000 in Dr. Alma Salazar scholarship money! In addition to having some very cool celebrities who wished our higher education youth success in their future, we were also joined by Francisco Rodriguez, Chancellor of the Los Angeles Community College District and board chair of UNITE-LA; Rolando Gomez Zaman, Director of Community Relations, Children's Hospital Los Angeles; David Rattray, CEO, UNITE-LA; and Alysia Bell, President, UNITE-LA.
