We are excited to welcome two new additions to our UNITE-LA family: Christina Lopez and Dexter Freeman! Both will be working closely with our partners at ACCE and other partners throughout the U.S. to advance our national work.
Christina joined us Feb. 1 as our Senior Manager, Education Business Coalitions. Based in Buffalo, NY, Christina brings more than 20 years of experience spearheading education, business and workforce initiatives. She has served as a Project Administrator for New York's P-TECH (Pathways to Careers in Technology) programming for Buffalo Public Schools, led the Business Services Division of Buffalo and Erie County's Workforce Investment Board, served as the Manager of Workforce Development for the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, and served as the Manager of Marketing and Communications for the Amherst Chamber of Commerce. Christina holds a BA in Broadcast Communications Management and an MS in Public Relations and Marketing Management from the State University of New York College at Buffalo.
Dexter will join us on Feb. 16 as our Senior Director, Education Business Coalitions. Based in Dallas, TX, Dexter most recently served as the Vice President of Operations and Administration for the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce. Previously, he served as the Director of Intelligence, Innovation and Education for the Irving Chamber as well as the Manager of CRM Data for the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce. Dexter holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Arkansas and an MBA from the University of Dallas. He graduated from the U.S. Chamber's Institute for Organizational Management as well as ACCE's Fellowship for Education and Talent Development.
