UNITE-LA joined the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB) and the Southern California Apprenticeship Network (SCAN) in co-hosting July’s SCAN Mixer, bringing together employers, industry leaders and workforce partners to strengthen connections and advance apprenticeship opportunities across the region.

Attendees exchanged ideas, resources and best practices on how apprenticeships can help recruit, train and retain skilled talent while building stronger pathways to success for both learners and employers. Events like the SCAN Mixer create valuable opportunities for partners to collaborate, share insights and grow a regional network committed to expanding high-quality apprenticeship programs.

Building on the momentum from July's event, the next SCAN Mixer will be co-hosted with Goodwill Southern California on Thursday, Aug. 27, at its new West L.A. YouthSource Center.
