As part of April’s Earth Month and Los Angeles Climate Week, UNITE-LA participated in a series of events advancing pathways into the green economy.
Through partnerships with initiatives like the L.A. Green Jobs Pavilion and the Coalition for Clean Air’s Green Careers for All event, UNITE-LA helped connect students and community members to career opportunities in sustainability and clean energy. These events also served as a platform to showcase the Los Angeles Regional Cleantech Career Academy, which prepares students for in-demand, climate-focused careers.
UNITE-LA contributed to key conversations on the future of clean energy jobs, emphasizing the importance of early career exposure and the skills needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving workforce. Notably, Cleantech Academy students and alumni participated alongside industry professionals—building networks, gaining real-world experience and stepping into their roles as emerging leaders in the green economy.
Engagements like these are critical to bridging education and industry, ensuring that as climate investments grow, they translate into equitable access to quality careers for the next generation.
