UNITE-LA is thrilled to announce our President, Alysia Bell, has been appointed by Gov. Gavin Newsom to serve on the California Workforce Development Board!

This appointment reflects UNITE-LA’s long-standing commitment to advancing equitable education and workforce pathways that prepare Angelenos for the jobs of today and tomorrow. The role was previously held by our late Executive Vice President, Dr. Alma Salazar, whose leadership and vision continue to inspire our work. Through this appointment, Alysia will help guide statewide workforce policy and strategy aimed at accessible training and education programs leading to quality jobs that provide economic security.
