On Oct. 9, the L.A. Region K-16 Collaborative team hosted the latest session in the Transfer Community of Practice (CoP) series, in partnership with Long Beach City College, including subregional convener, Dr. Elijah Sims.
This engaging session focused on closing racial and gender gaps in postsecondary attainment through strategies that strengthen transfer pathways. Participants addressed the ongoing barriers to transfer, particularly in light of pandemic-related declines in enrollment across the CSU system. We were pleased to be joined by regional collaborators from various CSU, UC and community college campuses all working toward greater student-based outcomes in transfer. For more information on the CoP, please visit the L.A. Region K-16 Collaborative website or reach out to Andrew Giang.
