At the end of last year, the L.A. Times released a magazine feature, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility, where leaders of UNITE-LA’s anti-racism work were highlighted. This particular feature highlighted “a list of the most prominent game changers and thought leaders in the business world today” and “some true DEI&A visionaries whose work has inspired the advancement of more equitable outcomes in the L.A. region.” Lisa Catanzarite, Ph.D., vice president, Research and Evaluation, UNITE-LA, and Bridget Netter, senior vice president, Programs and Talent Development, UNITE-LA, are both featured in the publication. Lisa and Bridget have demonstrated a commitment forging UNITE-LA’s race equity initiatives—co-leading our Anti-Racism Planning Group, working with staff, experts and consultants in the field to increase and advance our shared knowledge and understanding of anti-racism and anti-Black racism. We are so proud they are part of the UNITE-LA team and are grateful for them working with all of us to reflect on our anti-racism work and recommit to deepening our efforts.
