In October, UNITE-LA was proud to host our first Future Forward Forum featuring local employers and resources from the health care and tech sectors to equip students with the insight needed to move their future forward. Students had the chance to cultivate career connections in health care and technology; learned how to apply for paid internships and programs to increase their awareness of growing industries and related career pathways; met the UNITE-LA staff who help connect students with the right opportunities; and much more!

Our many thanks to those who helped make this event a success - our speakers! This included Alma Castillo (UNITE-LA South L.A. Scholars alum and freshman at UC Berkeley), Daniela Garay and Andrea Perry (Cedars-Sinai), Kathleen McIntire (Kaiser Permanente), Andre Kealii (Kealii Creations), Peter Aranda (SUMA), David Rincon (David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA), and Ron Roberts (Corporate Recruiter/HR Professional, Career & College Planning Partner).
