On April 3, UNITE-LA hosted its first Health Sector Collaborative of 2024 and was joined by 12 of our partners from LAUSD, Monrovia School District, City of L.A. Economic & Workforce Development Department, L.A. Mission College, Common Spirit, Dignity Health, Propel America, AllSumJobs and the UNITE-LA Systems-Change Team.

Our speakers included Whitney Harrison-Kambarami, Community Clinical Navigator for Inside Edge Consulting Group, and Jesse Diaz, Partnerships & Recruitment Manager for Propel America. Harrison-Kambarami discussed the need for diversification in clinical research studies and the measures being put in place to ensure participants are able to make informed decisions, while Diaz shared Propel America’s upcoming launch of their Medical Assistant program in Los Angeles.
